First Part-time Job

Summer of 2016, I decided to finally get of the couch and get a part time job. Of course as every teenager does, I procrastinated and didn't end up finding a job until summer was almost over. I applied everywhere...LITERALLY everywhere. All the jobs I followed up with were either" sorry we already hired a bunch of people" or just never answered back. I then resorted to my last step which was a senior citizen community my mom worked at. I worked on waitstaff, you might think how boring, but it actually was not bad for a first job! The pay was above minimum wage and it was very student oriented and might I add flexible! The seniors were also quite interesting to chat with. If you are looking for a part-time job I will definitely recommend it! :)

Three tips to getting a summer job:
1) Start early! as early as march, because they fill up quickly
2) Be persistent, you know that annoying fly that never seems to go away? Yes, be that.
3) Be CONFIDENT! who doesn't love a confident individual?
